Pleasureland Southport Fairground

Pleasureland is a family orientated them park based on Southports coastline and within easy walking distance of the town centre and the Sunnyside Bed and Breakfast. The park is free to enter and there are a great selecton of rides which can be accessed on a pay per ride basis rather than having to purchase a wristband for the day.

The 32 acre park which was established in 1913 is bursting with activties for all the family. The site is home to around 100 rides, cafes, an indoor play area, amusments, bars and a performance area.

Pleasureland has a number of eateries offering your typical seaside treats such as icecreams and candyfloss as well as a number of dishes and drinks which can be purchased from the refreshment outlets. You also have the option to take your own food to eat at the picnic tables or you can take along a picnic blanket to use on one of the grassed areas.

Southport Pleasureland (PR9 1RX) is a 15-minute walk from Sunnyside Guest House (PR9 0DP). Begin by turning right onto Bath Street, then right again onto Nevill Street. When you reach the Promenade, turn left and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit, walk past Morrisons, and you will soon arrive at the fairground.

“If you need additional care and support on the day, an Essential Companion ticket will give your +1 access free of charge. This replaces our previous “Disabled Guest with Carer” ticket.

Before, we asked you to bring supporting documentation on the day. Now, we ask only that you register with Nimbus Disability’s Access Card scheme and bring the card with you, along with your own ticket.

This scheme is used by a wide range of attractions around the UK. It’s a quick, convenient way of ensuring you get the support you need to make the most of your trip to Southport Pleasureland.

Please ensure that you apply online at least seven working days before you visit. Unfortunately, we can’t accept same-day applications.”
