The Sunnyside Bed Breakfast is located on Bath Street, just a two minute walk to Lord Street Shopping Boulevard and Southport’s famous promenade, providing an ideal location for tourists visiting Southport. The Guest House is also ideally located for access to Southport Conference Centre and Southport Pier which are literally a two minute walk away.
If you have stayed over in Southport before you will be aware that finding accommodation with off street car parking can be quite a challenge, especially in the town centre. A lot of the big hotels have very limited parking and if you arrive early and are lucky enough to get a space there are usually charges attached.
When you book direct with the Sunnyside, either through this website or by calling reception on 01704 536521, we can provide you with free car parking. If you have a van or a large vehicle you would need to contact us before booking to see if we can make arrangements for you. Free parking is only available for guests who book direct with the bed and breakfast. If you book through a third party website and want to use the on site car park a daily car parking fee will apply.

When you book through third party websites such as Hotels.com, Booking.com, Trivago, Expedia and Airbnb they take a commission for the booking which is passed onto the customer through higher room rates.
When you book direct with us it removes commissions paid to booking websites and allows us provide you with our best deal. Booking direct means you get free car parking and WIFI which are charged as extras on booking websites.
We are also able to provide our best rates for rooms, breakfast and we are able to offer you are full allocation of available rooms. Some accommodation providers don’t list all of their rooms on the third party site in order to keep commission costs down and to reduce the chance of overbooking.
Taking the middle man out of the equation also reduces the chances of there being any complications with the booking further down the line and prevents guests special requests getting lost along the way.

All of the rooms at the bed and breakfast are smoke free. If there is any evidence of smoking then you will be fined £200 and instantly ejected from the building. If you are a smoker and would like to stay with us please call in advance and we can try to offer you a room on a lower floor so it is easier to get in and out of the building for a cigarette.
We only have one room that dosn’t have its own bathroom within the room. When you go though to our booking facility at the top left hand side of the page the room options will be listed and it will say whether the room has en-suite facilities or not.

Within a 5 to 10 minute walk of the B&B you will find the towns main train station. The train station provides a direct link to major cities such as Liverpool, Manchester and Wigan. Preston can also be found within a short drive or bus ride of Southport.

The standard of accommodation is better than some 5 star hotels. Boutique décor, luxury pillows and exceptional service is what makes this Southport’s best Small Hotel. Anthony will be sure to keep the most discerning traveller pleased. Breakfast cooked with fresh, quality local produce. All covid precautions taken. Well done 5 stars from me.
Face masks were worn by them both, hand gel readily available. Rooms Covid cleaned to the highest standard. Remote and keys were in clean sealed packets.
The room was extremely modern and spacious. Our every need was catered for. Antony is a superb concierge. He advised us in local restaurants and even made bookings for us. He provided a map of the area and imparted expert knowledge.
Fully optimised for covid with hand sanitisation throughout the building. Very clean and comfortable with a very welcoming atmosphere. Our room was lovely, with modern decor and fully stocked tea and coffee facilities. The breakfasts was hearty and well cooked.
We found Sunnyside through a search on Tripadvisor and liked the reviews, the fact that there was on-site parking and free wi-fi was a big plus, not to mention the Included breakfast, and all for a very reasonable price.
